LeapFrog is the fastest-growing top ten toy manufacturer in the UK, according to full-year 2012 NPD data.
The company says it grew by 26 per cent last year, when it became the eighth biggest toy manufacturer in the UK.
The LeapPad kids' tablet predominantly drove the growth, which LeapFrog says was the industry’s number toy in the UK in 2012.
Chris Spalding, Managing Director and Senior Vice President for EMEA and Australasia at LeapFrog, said: "We’re proud to look back at 2012 as the year we established LeapFrog as a top ten toy company, as well as once again creating the number one children’s tablet on the market.
"Key additions to our extensive range – including LeapPad2, the Explorer software and Tag Range - earned LeapFrog an increased market share to be proud of.
"We’re now looking ahead to 2013 with high expectations, hoping to continue our progression in the top ten toy manufacturers list and build on our reputation as leaders in educational entertainment."
The overall toy market in the UK fell by just one per cent in 2012, in terms of year-on-year value.
