Chinese steel giant Hebei Steel announced to raise the prices for steel flat products by CNY 50 to CNY 170 per tonne averagely for December 2012.
The firm decided to increase the prices for medium heavy plates and cd rolled steel plates coils by CNY 100 per tonne respectively.
Also, it determined to raise the prices of hot rolled steel plates coils by CNY 170 per tonne and to increase the prices for galvanized steel sheets by CNY 50 per tonne for December 2012.
After the price announcement, its prices for Q235 medium heavy plates with thickness of 14mm to 20mm are at CNY 3,670 per tonne; that for Q235 hot rolled steel plates coils is with thickness of 5.5mm is at CNY 3,850 per tonne and that for SPCC cold rolled steel plates coils with thickness of 1.0mm is at CNY 4,500 per tonne.
The above prices include taxes and will become effective from December 1st 2012.
